Had a top day 4**** down at the Manor end, my old stomping ground. Do you remember proper sea breeze - on shore?
Met up with Pete G at the free dirt carpark. The manor wind was about 10kts then and Pete rig his super duper Starboard Phantom with a 9.4M tushy and flew off the shore!
Thats one hell of a board, (I want one!)

Rigged the Starboard Formula with my largest sail now, 9.8M (sold the 10.7) and struggled the first 10 minutes whilst Pete kept flying past with that cheesy grin. By 2.00 the wind freshened and I was flying..u just know I had to hunt down Pete and showed him why you just dont mess with formulas..
From a standing start he left me for dead, but I usually catched up.
We swopped boards and I have to say the longboards planes on the plate in less wind so you can hook in and go anywhere. It just lose out fully powered up on reaches for top speed.

The easterly shore blasting is just brilliant as we flew along the coast racing each other. Would be 5***** but Pete beat me on the last run back as the bloody wind freshened and I was too overpowered / knackered to control the Formula.

ps - yep - had to get the fish and chips and a can of beer.....
